What is RIQAS?
From its inception in 1990 RIQAS (Randox International Quality Assessment Scheme) has developed into one of the world’s largest global external quality assessment schemes serving over 23, 000 participants in more than 105 countries worldwide. Our main aim is to help laboratories meet their quality requirements and most importantly provide the best possible patient care.
Currently a total of 21 comprehensive EQA programmes are available covering a wide range of diagnostic testing. Several programmes are even suited to the growing field of Point-of-Care testing (POCT). Our extensive programme menu is designed to reduce the number of individual programmes required therefore delivering consolidation and cost savings. Several flexible programme options are available allowing laboratories to customise the programme to suit their unique requirements.
This may involve choosing the reporting frequency, analytes, and even the vial size.
Randox re-invest significantly in research and development, as such the RIQAS programme offering is constantly expanding with the introduction of new programmes and the addition of new parameters to existing programmes. Most recently we have added four new serology programmes covering a wide range of infectious diseases.
In 2012 RIQAS celebrated gaining accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043:2010. This standard outlines general requirements for proficiency testing and demonstrates our commitment to quality whilst providing both participants and accrediting bodies with confidence in the schemes operation.
